Kia ora Whanau,
Heather and I are going to be the teachers in TRM this year. I will post some dates and events shortly, however first we want to introduce ourselves.
Kia ora,
My name is Heather Lindfield and I have the privilege of teaching your child next year. I will be teaching in your child’s class every Wednesday for 2026. You may have seen me around as I have been teaching two days a week in Te Rito during term three and four.
I have a background in nursing and transitioned into teaching in 2006. I originated from the UK, moving to New Zealand with my family in 2002. I love teaching literacy and have a background in Reading Recovery. My other passion is art and I am excited to embark on numerous creative projects during the coming year.
I am looking forward to being a part in your child’s learning journey for 2026.
Nga Mihi

Kia Ora,
Ko Stephanie toku ingoa. Firstly a little bit about myself. My parents immgrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands in the 1950's. I was born, raised and call Taranaki my home. This is my eigth year at Upokongaro School. I am excited to be teaching your child this year (for some of the children I was their first teacher when they started as five year olds at Upokongaro, while for others I taught them in their Year 2 &3 years, for some I taught while Penny was overseas, and for others I taught the science class in Te Rito Term 2 2025).
Both Heather and I are looking forward to making connections with you all as we teach this amazing group of children. It is our intention to keep you informed via regular email, however we thought it important for you to know about some of the big things happening outside of the classroom in Term One, so please look out for the next notice.
Nga mihi,
Stephanie Chamberlain-Zieltjes
