Enrolment Scheme

In order to manage the number of students enrolled at Upokongaro School the Upokongaro School Board operates and enrolment scheme. Each year the school runs a ballot for the next years enrolments. 

​Students who live outside the school zone can apply for the yearly ballot or for ballots that may be advertised due to availability in certain year groups at the end of a school term.

Ballot entries for 2027 are now open until the 12th of October 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by Friday the 16th of October 2026. You can apply for your child/children to attend Upokongaro School by completing the online enrolments via this link: Online Enrolment Application or by filling in an enrolment at our school office. 

Ballot Dates during Term Time 2027

The Term One ballot for students wanting to start school at the beginning Term Two opens from 1 March 2027 to 11 March 2027 with successful applicants notified on the 12 March 2027. 

The Term Two ballot for students wanting to start school at the beginning of Term Three opens from 24 May 2027 to 2 June 2027 with successful applicants notified on the 3 June 2027.

The Term Three ballot for students wanting to start school at the beginning of Term Four opens from 16 Aug 2027 to 26 Aug 2027 with successful applicants notified on the 27 Aug 2027.

The ballot for 2028 will be opened in the third term with dates to be confirmed.
